About The Pete Leeman Memorial Scholarship
This scholarship was created in memory of ASTCS Pete Leeman, who, along with the crew of Coast Guard 6541, lost their lives while responding to a vessel in distress.
The scholarship was developed to provide career-minded individuals the opportunity to develop professionally, to serve in fields that benefit others in society through service. The scholarships are available to students attending a certified college or university, or a certified technical school.
This scholarship is set up to fund college and technical school scholarships for children of active duty or retired USCG Aviation Rated Petty Officers. This scholarship is developed to assist students in certified secular or non-secular university, college or training center environments.
The Pete Leeman Memorial Scholarship will be awarded to two applicants annually.
